If you are not happy with the color of your garage door, painting should be considered (especially if you plan to sell). There are a few basic theories that people recommend when choosing a color for the garage door:
-Paint the garage door the same color as your front door. This provides unity among the entrances, and a nice focal point with counterbalance.
-Paint your garage the same color as your trim. This gives a solid foundational space that the trim colors will be visually anchored to.
-Paint your garage door the same color as your siding. This may sound uninteresting at first, but if you are creative with your trim and the other architectural details of the home, it can actually be a calming and balancing effect. Of course, it won’t work on brick homes!
